Alden Hill Conservation Area
This conservation area is conserved through a long-term conservation lease with Verso paper. In 1998, ALT received the leases on 968 acres owned by International Paper. The agreement for the land arose from IP's licensing agreement for four dams on the Androscoggin River: Otis, Riley, Jay & Livermore Falls. As part of the conservation lease, we manage the leased lands for wildlife habitat while having the option to practice sustainable forestry.
