February 14th 10 AM – 3 PM is the Spruce Mountain Sled-[or drive]-In

No worries if you don’t have a sled because there’s plenty of vehicle parking!

This annual Livermore Falls community event is being held winter carnival-style and is sponsored by Livermore Falls Downtown Betterment Group.

In addition to the ALT hosted relay for kids, there will be races, raffles, sledding and sleigh rides, a snow sculpture contest, and for everyone – yummy food and warm drinks to enjoy by the bonfire.

Febraury 15th 10 AM join us for a Historic Snowshoe Hike at Androscoggin Riverlands State Park in Turner.

This free guided snowshoe hike will reveal the fantastic history of a once thriving Turner village located along the Androscoggin River that was destroyed in 1927 by rising waters caused by the construction of the Gulf Island dam.

Led by Judy Marden, one of ALT’s longtime board members, and co-led by ALT member Nancy Long, hikers can choose to do the easy 2.2 mile loop to the picnic meadow and back, or continue on to complete a 4-mile loop trek.

Bring a daypack, your snowshoes, sturdy boots, water and a snack, come dressed for possible changes in weather, and ready to explore the beautiful Androscoggin Riverlands State Park!

Meet us at the Riverlands State Park parking lot located off Center Bridge Road at 10am.
