Earth Day 2018
April 22 @ 10:00 am - 12:30 pmFree
Help ALT prepare this special trail system for the installation of some new navigational signage this Summer! We will be practicing good trail stewardship by clearing the trails and the outdoor classroom of downed sticks and fallen trees after last Fall’s windstorm – there are A LOT of them! We will also be cleaning up any litter. We’ll meet at 10AM at the 19th Street entrance to the Sherwood Forest trail system near the picnic table.
This is part of an Earth Day event organized by UMVA Lewiston-Auburn and the Downtown Lewiston Arts District. The full event in L-A will feature several different area clean ups in Auburn and Lewiston, and in addition, the painting of side walk murals, fire hydrants, studio and public art tours, local music, and a “Buy Local” cash mob. Volunteers will be rewarded with deals on pints at all three local breweries! Check for updates about the other things happening on the Earth Day facebook event: https://www.facebook.com/events/217621542117081/?active_tab=about

*You may wish to label your personal tools to make sure they don’t get mixed with others.
