Androscoggin Land Trust recently closed on a complex land acquisition deal with the Pine Tree Council chapter of the BSA. Very proud that our organization successfully navigated and negotiated this transaction. Camp Gustin’s 95 acres now combines with our adjacent Curtis Bog Conservation Area for a 429 acre habitat block that helps to protect the Curtis Bog and Loon Pond watersheds. Additionally proud to note that we are nearing an end to a quick (8 months and $325,000 raised!!!) and successful fundraising campaign. We’re so close to finishing with the help of generous foundations and individual support. Here is an article from TheRevelator that summarizes our journey and the challenges.
