The Rhodora is starting to bloom at Garcelon Bog!  The Garcelon Bog Conservation Area in Lewiston is home to a population of Rhodora (Rhododendron canadense), which is a native wild rhododendron which blooms in mid to late May with beautiful pink flowers.    The blooms for this year are just starting to flower and should be in full display by Memorial Day Weekend.  We encourage folks to visit this special property, which can be accessed at the end of Russell St. Extension via the Boardwalk Trail.

The 109-acre Garcelon Bog Conservation Area is owned and managed by the City of Lewiston and it is permanently conserved by the Androscoggin Land Trust through a conservation easement.
