Auburn Public Library Teen Summer Reading “Build a Better World” Program–Riverwalk History Tour

July 27, 2017 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Teens from the Auburn Public Library Teen Summer Reading Program will join ALT to walk the Riverwalk and learn about the history of the Androscoggin River and the Cities on its shores! This is part of their “Build a Better World” theme for the summer. Teens will walk down from the Library (near the Library Avenue entrance) to meet ALT on Main Street. From there, Board Member Jim Pross will lead the group on a walk along the bank of the river to talk about its history, clean up efforts through the years, and future plans.  The walk should take about an hour. This program is for teens, ages 12-18 (entering grades 7-12). Jim Pross is a great tour guide for this event as he is the famous narrator of ALT’s Travelstorys History Tour Smartphone App available in both a walking and a paddling version in Lewiston/Auburn. Access more information about the history tour app here.
