Join Androscoggin Land Trust at RiverFest Friday, June 17th for a leisurely paddle and tour of the riverfront led by former ALT Executive Director Jonathan LaBonte!

Paddlers will leave Lewiston’s Simard-Payne Park by 5:30 p.m. for a tour to explore the nearby river, learn about local history, gaze up at the cities on either side and observe the outflow of the historic canals, and paddle to the confluence with the Little Androscoggin River, before regrouping at the shoreline next to the newly inserted boat dock on the Androscoggin River.

The event is a great opportunity to learn more about the river and local history while enjoying a laid back paddle before or after enjoying the activities at RiverFest. We hope to see you there!

Please bring a canoe, kayak, or stand-up paddle board (SUP) (experienced SUP paddlers only), and a United States Coast Guard approved flotation device (life-jacket). There will be canoe and kayak rentals available provided by Webb & Sons Rentals. Single canoes and Kayaks are $20 for the event, tandem is $30, including paddles and PFD’s.
