L/A River Clean Up and Eco Festival

Dear Friend

We are excited to invite you to attend, volunteer, or participate in our upcoming newest event Eco Festival L/A, hosted by the Androscoggin Land Trust, on Saturday, June 15, 2024. This event showcases those that  environment, conservation, healthy living, and overall community well-being. We are still accepting participants, vendors, food trucks, speakers, and demonstrations that align with these components.

Event Details:

  • Date: Saturday, June 15, 2024
  • Location: Simard Payne Park: 46 Beech Street Lewiston, ME 04240 Parking nearby at garages.
  • Annual ALT River Clean Up: Annual ALT River Clean Up: 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM

Join us in cleaning up trash along green spaces, parks, and river banks. Land stewards and water steward volunteers, including paddlers and some boaters, are welcome to participate in the waterways. Please note that participation is at your own risk in the river, as the Androscoggin River has fluctuated wildly in the past few months. We will post advisories as the event draws closer and provide information on common places to launch or depart with your watercraft, use of safety and proper equipment, and the signing of waivers before or at the beginning of participation. Volunteers are always needed and welcome, including individuals, corporate groups, and walk-ins. Merchandise may be limited, if offered for the event.

  • First Annual Eco Festival L/A: 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM

The Eco Festival L/A offers an excellent opportunity to showcase your products, services, and initiatives to a diverse and engaged audience. We have a variety of opportunities for involvement, including: Don’t worry …we hope to offer this event annually and grow year to year.

  • Vendor Booths: Share your environmentally friendly products, brand and services, or promote your environmental or conservation organization.
  • Food Trucks: Provide delicious and healthy food options to our attendees.(LICENSED in LEWISTON)
  • Speakers/Demonstrations: Educate and inspire with presentations and demonstrations related to conservation, healthy living, and well-being. SCIENCE, CONSERVATION, WATER QUALITY, CLIMATE, WILDIFE, AGRICULTURE, RURAL LIVING.  All professional speakers welcome to submit ideas/timeframes
  • Sponsorship Opportunities: Gain visibility and show your support for the environment and community health.DOES YOUR COMPANY SUPPORT CONSERVATION initiatives??
  • VOLUNTEER (for any portion of the event there are several options for partial or all day opportunities) EVENTBRITE VOLUNTEER SIGN UP or JOTFORM??

Towards the end of the event, we will hold a community sound bowl healing ceremony in remembrance of the victims of the Lewiston shooting tragedy, their families, and the greater community affected by this tragedy. This ceremony will be led by Ashli Pelletier, a Reiki master.
